The NCFDD is based in Detroit, MI with more than 100 academics across the country supporting us and our members as coaches and facilitators. Our workshop facilitators, or Catalysts - all of whom are current, tenured faculty - have conducted more than 300 in-person and online workshops. Since its founding in 2010 by Kerry Ann Rockquemore, PhD, the NCFDD has had more than 10,000 faculty and graduate students go through our online programs, including our flagship Faculty Success Program. and Canada, and almost 200,000 faculty and graduate student members. We have more than 250 university partners in the U.S.
The NCFDD offers programs and resources through its online Membership resources, its online Faculty and Academic programs, and its virtual and on-campus Workshops. Our focus is to help academics grow and succeed in their careers, particular those faculty who are underrepresented in the academy.

The National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity, or NCFDD with a mission to Change the Face of Power in the Academy. Our free content is a modern and versatile training solution, that allows you to learn your technology at your own pace and do it when and wherever you want. Our aim is to encourage and retain women in STEM careers by providing support and raising awareness of the systemic motherhood discrimination that prevents women with children from pursuing their ambition and fulfilling their potential. We have built a strong, diverse and inclusive community where parents and parents-to-be can find support and relatable role models within STEM, and we also run private and public online networking events, and offer resources and mentoring.
We want to break the myth that women must choose between motherhood and having a career, and help build a society in which women and men can thrive in their careers while equally contributing to the household and childcare. Mothers in Science is a non-profit organisation created to respond to the urgent need for a safe space where mothers in STEM could find support and share their experiences coping in a work environment that traditionally doesn’t accommodate for people with a family.
